Music in Italy Study Abroad Course, June 19-July 2, 2023

Experience the tour of a lifetime as BJUSO travels and performs in Rome, Florence, Venice, and Cremona, culminating with a trip to take in an opera at La Scala in Milan. This two-week tour is paired with a 3-credit academic study abroad course (tuition waived). Cost is $7,000 and covers airfare, ground transportation, guided tours, museum entrance fees, city-center hotels, breakfasts, and dinners.

Seating Auditions for Strings

Seating auditions for String Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra are held during Welcome Week at the beginning of the fall semester or by special arrangement with Dr. Moore. Note: Music admission and scholarship auditions are held separately from ensemble seating auditions. Symphony Orchestra woodwind, brass, and percussion openings are filled by appointment and audition.

Students should download and prepare the bracketed excerpts provided below (two excerpts per instrument). A brief sight-reading excerpt will also be required.
